About us

Behind the business "Wild Balms & Salves Co." is a science degreed, stay at home mom to five children! Before the last few kids were born, Gina spent 10 years working in laboratories (6 years in a skin pathology laboratory under a renowned dermatologist, and 5 years in a hospital laboratory.) Needless to say, she has seen alot of skin problems and skin cancer. That experience is part of what fuels her concern over what is being put on our skin, and has given her a passion for natural skin care.

This business began several years ago as Gina started researching herbs for her garden and handcrafting salves from the dandelion flowers that her kids had picked for her. She gave many tins of salve away to family & friends and received such an overwhelmingly positive response to the salves, that she decided this could be her creative outlet and small contribution to her family's support. Since then Gina has made over 100 products!

Wild Balms & Salves Co. takes care to do the research and put only high quality and natural ingredients (no added toxic junk!) in our skincare and holiday products. Very short, recognizable ingredient lists are important! Your health and wellness matter, inside and out.
